Grades: 50% response to questions, 50% comments

Think about the process of learning:

Step 1) Reading the material is one-way transmission. Your knowledge is not being tested.  

Step 2) Answering questions requires retrieval and organization of the facts. This results in strengthening the links between facts in your mental model.

Step 3) Commenting on responses causes you to reflect and to check what you know.
